It will be 2 years in July since my 5 year old son was dx.  I'm very anxious for him to get the pump as I think it will be easier when he starts school next year plus his Dad and I are divorced, so I think it would be easier going from house to house.  Everytime I ask his doctor, he tells me he isn't ready but I hear people all the time talking about kids his age having it.  I don't understand.  Any insight?

Thanks

Our daughter recieved her pump when she was 5 and beginning kindergarten.  Find out why your doctor is hesitating.  The pump bring more flexability but it can also be more intense than shots.  I hope all goes well.  Take care, Natalie

Excellent news!  We had a doctor's appointment of Friday.  He said we could get the pump!  I'm so happy for the freedom we are going to have.  Now we just have to go through all the information and pick which one we want.  Yay!
