Question from a parent:

My daughter uses the omnipod and we've been using the new butterfly strips, I know it has not been FDA approved but I recieved a 3 month supply of them so I'm using them. There has been a couple of times we've questioned the reading and tested with other meters and strips and have had a difference of over 200 in the readings!! Has anyone else noticed this or has had a problem, I would really appreciate any help/advice!! Thanks!!

Got a great comment from another parent:

For the parent whose child uses the OmniPod and is using the BUTTERFLY TEST STRIPS: We tried them to and the readings can be way off. Abbott forgot to check with OmniPod when they came out with these...not good! So, to make up for it while ...they are getting it all ironed out. Call Abbott and tell them that you need to swap the butterfly one's for the others. They will ship you out the others right away and then send you a self addressed box for you to return the new ones in. This is done on a honor system. Or you may have luck getting a pharmacist to switch them out "if" they still have some in stock.  Smiley
