Came here today following a link at Twitter.

I have 3 kids, TJ (7), Roo (5) and Tisha (2), we live in England.

I have hereditary gluten intolerance that wasn't diagnosed until my very poorly little girls first birthday. All the women in my family appear to have (or had) it. To make life easier the whole of my family eats gluten free. We will get the younger 2 kids tested when they get older.

TJ developed diabetes at 2 1/2 and switched to an insulin pump for clinical reasons last January. Roo has aspergers, and delevoped diabetes this January. He's on MDI. Trying to juggle 2 different regimes is crazy, and often seems very unfair. But our Drs won't put a child on a pump unless there are clinical reasons, and Roo doesn't tick any boxes yet.

Roo's aspergers makes life more complicated, and high blood sugars make the aspergers worse. And the asd complicates the diabetes management plan too ...
