A question from a parent:

Any other d families experienced with staph infections in their type ones? I could really use some input.

What I do is I keep stapheseptic, triple antibiotic ointment, and hand sanitizer in his diabetic go pack, he knows to clean any open wound with all three then either bandaid it or cover it with tape and gauze. It's the only way we have found to cut down on the staph-they just don't heal as quickly as other kids. The coaches even make sure Zach goes to the first aid kit with even the smallest scratches-they even stock their own stapheseptic now-oh and Listerine for those busted lips from the mouth guards during football! Best of luck!"  Shocked
