Great threat from FB:

string cheese; string cheese wrapped in lunch meat; carrots and dip; celery and peanut butter; some of these have a few carbs in them, but very low

scrambled eggs are a great filler food. My son is 4 and it's very hard to do almonds or yoghurt that's plain. You just gave to remember he is still a kid. Kids eat differently to adults. You'll know what to do. A nutritionist is great but get one that deals with kids or else they"ll give you more anxiety that they aren't getting this or that.

my little one didn't want extra shots for snacks so we were always scrambling to fill her up for "free". Eggs, turkey sausage, taco meat in 1 taco shell, soy based crisps are low carb. I found going to a natural food ...store (if u have one) to be helpful b/c they had a more natural low carb section. I've made popsicles out of no carb drinks - STEVIA is a good artificial sweetener that you can experiment with. I've made homemade jello with it and top it with whipped cream - virtually carb free. If your little guy likes cheese - make small piles of shredded chedder (on parchement paper on a baking hseet). Bake at 375 until cheese melts/is flat. They will crisp up and peel off the paper - Cheese crisps - you can google the recipe.

4 year old loves the mild slim jims. and slim jims with cheese. gum. peanuts are good. sugar free jello.

My son loads up on cucumbers and celery. I consider these free foods and sometimes will allow a little ranch dressing to dip them in. Just watch the dressing, sometimes they are loaded with carbs, especially if they are low fat.
