Newbie, and a thank you.

Greetings everyone,

My name is Bill and I'm father to a soon-to-be 13-year-old young woman (!) who has had T-1 diabetes for nearly two years. She has a younger brother and an awesome mother -- where would these kids be without awesome moms? We live in central NH, with our dog, our cat, and 10 or so chickens.

We've just returned home after a wonderful weekend up in Stowe, VT, with (and organized by) Jeff and Natalie, as well as the incredible folks from the Barton Center, who kept the kiddos fully engaged while us parents got to nap worry-free! And we got to talk with some terrific experts about new technology, family dynamics, and the finer points of understanding our kids' struggle with this #$%^& disease. There was also time to connect with the best set of experts ever -- other parents. The weather in the Vermont mountains was *perfect* and the company was, too!

Thanks again, J&N, for putting this event together. We all had a great time. And now I've found your web site. Cool!
