We live in Orange County too, and my son is 2 1\2 he has had type 1 for a year and 1\2 already. He is about to go on the pump. Would love to find a play buddy... And some support. Wow can u imagine be able to just have an extra babysitter and not even worry.

My five-year-old was diagnosed in June of 2010.  We live in Redlands.  Would love to connect with another family in the area.

Hi all! I am a type 1 diabetic living in West LA, getting my doctorate in clinical health psychology. I have been a type 1 for 18 years and have worked with kids in many capacities. I wanted to offer my babysitting services to type 1 parents who understand the need for a knowledgable professional when leaving their little ones.

Additionally, for my doctoral dissertation I am conducting research with female type 1s between the ages of 12-20 wearing an insulin pump. I am hoping you or someone you know would be willing to participate in a one hour interview. (I am offering compensation!)

Please contact me if you have any questions regarding either of my posts! ajtullman@gmail.com
All my best, Ashley

Hi, Our 9 year old son was diagnosed a little over 6 years ago and has been pumping for almost 5 years. He's 9 now and always looking for new friends. We live in Temecula.

WOW! Couldn't have seen this at a better time. My daughter is 9 1/2 and was diagnosed about a year and a half ago. She is the only child in her school with diabetes and lately has been feeling VERY alone. I don't know what to do for her/with her to help her out. Finding time to attend events is difficult. We need other kids like her in her life...we live in the Pomona/Diamond Bar area of Southern California. I would also babysit anyone's Type 1 diabetes children since I know how hard it is to find good care for those who still require supervised and total care!

I would be happy to babysit. My daughter is 9 1/2 and she's been type 1 for about a year and a half now. She loves little kids and we could "team babysit" and make it really fun for Mason, plus you would know he's safe. I know how hard it is to trust anyone with these kids!

I don't know if we would be considered Southern CA since we live smack dab in the middle of the state Tulare, CA.

Hi there my name is Sue and my daughter Sabrina was diagnosed this past April, 2011. She turned 12 in November. We are in San Diego and really do not know anyone with diabetes. We are learning all about it but it would be great to meet families dealing with the same. Maybe someone with a daughter about the same age as her emotions (including female changes) have turned the house up side down. Huh  I work out of my home as a Licensed Child Care Provider so I am able to be involved with my children(I have 3 total). I am also good with watching children with Diabetes and am very comfortable with it. So if you live here or are making a trip out for vacation feel free to call for drop ins..  Smiley  Have a great night!! Sue

Hey everyone!  My nine year old daughter is type 1 and was diagnosed a little over a year-and-a-half ago.  We live in West Covina.  She has only met a couple of kids that are diabetic and none of them live near us.  She is the only one at her school that we know of.  We would love to be able to connect with other kids and families!
